WHITE LINING
We have a new flavor of map “lining” to add to our RLBH – it is called “White Lining”. This is hiking all the trails in the Blue Hills in the “winter”. Winter is defined as: ~December 21 (the Winter Solstice) to ~March 21 (the Spring Equinox). This means the trails only count if they are hiked in the “winter”. (It may take you multiple years to complete this one!) Unlike colored lining, which runs serially (first red, then blue, then green, etc.), White Lining may run in parallel with colored lining, but you cannot count the same trail for both – unless you walk it twice! This variety will be added to the “rules” section of our RLBH website.
And what color should you use to mark up your map? Well, some have said that one should use “white out.” And then, when you are all done…..
So, if you want a real challenge, go get another map and start “White Lining”. The game starts soon – December 21, 2009 (the Winter Solstice)!
Note: This variety was thought up by the devilish Michael Swartz!
